About Us:
MK Zero Five Zero Four Trust is a growing mixed farming enterprise committed to sustainable and profitable agriculture. We cultivate a range of crops including onions, watermelon, fresh maize, tomatoes, and more, with a focus on market-driven production and community impact. We are looking for a passionate and skilled Crops Production Specialist to lead and manage our crop production operations.

Position Summary:
The Crops Production Specialist will be responsible for planning, supervising, and implementing all aspects of field crop production, with a particular focus on onions, watermelons, and seasonal vegetables. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise with hands-on leadership to ensure high yield, quality produce, and efficient resource management.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and manage land preparation, planting, irrigation, pest control, and harvesting schedules
Monitor crop performance, identify issues (pests, diseases, deficiencies), and implement solutions
Supervise field workers and coordinate daily farm activities
Manage crop rotation and soil fertility practices
Ensure timely procurement and application of agro-inputs (seeds, fertilizers, chemicals)
Maintain accurate records of inputs, labor, and yield
Apply Good Agricultural Practices (GAP), safety standards, and environmental sustainability
Collaborate with management on production targets, marketing timelines, and reporting

Qualifications & Experience:

Certificate or Diploma in General Agriculture, Horticulture, or Agronomy
Minimum 3 years’ hands-on experience in onion, watermelon, and vegetable crop production
Strong understanding of irrigation systems, crop nutrition, and pest/disease management
Proven ability to lead field teams and coordinate operations efficiently
Good record-keeping and planning skills
Experience with farm machinery and tools is an added advantage
