Indian Cuisine Chef – (Must be Zambian of Nationality)
Makai Bar and Restaurant is located in side Mulungushi Village Complex, in Kalundu, off great East and off Lufubu Road, Along Lusemfwa Road, opposite UNZA Lusaka, Zambia.

ROLE DESCRIPTION
This is a full-time, on-site role for an Indian Cuisine Chef located in Lusaka. The Indian Cuisine Chef will be responsible for preparing, cooking, and presenting dishes according to restaurant standards. Daily tasks include managing kitchen operations, creating menu items, maintaining hygiene standards, ordering and managing inventory, and training junior kitchen staff. The chef will also liaise with restaurant management on dish offerings and implement quality control measures to ensure customer satisfaction.
QUALIFICATIONS
Proven experience as an Indian Che
In-depth knowledge of traditional and contemporary Indian cooking techniques
Expertise in Indian cuisine cooking techniques and recipes
Experience in kitchen management and staff training
Skills in menu creation and food presentation
Understanding of food hygiene and safety standards
Creative flair
Ability to manage inventory and order supplies
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Culinary certification or relevant experience in a professional kitchen
Previous experience in a high-end restaurant or hotel is advantageous
Must be Zambian
