POSITION
Senior Accountant – Vacancy Announcement
DEPARTMENT & LOCATION
Accounts & Finance, Lusaka
JOB PURPOSE
To perform a full range of accounting and finance duties, including preparation of annual financial reports and statements and Cash Flow Projections.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Assisting in the management of the overall financial control environment to identify, control and escalate potential risks.
Provide appropriate leadership, coaching, supervision and guidance to the Team.
Assist the Chief Accountant in managing the Company’s Treasury, Receivables and Payables.
Spearhead submission of returns and payment of statutory obligations.
Work with auditors to ensure accurate and complete audit documents are kept and availed.
Assist with the preparation of various Budgets.
Spearhead the payroll management, to ensure full compliance to regulations and company policy.
Supervise the accurate preparation of monthly payroll.
Maintain an updated Schedule for employee service benefits, such as gratuity and others
Ensure that company assets are well secured and documented by keeping complete and updated Asset Register.
Secure and Safeguard Company information through regular and safe back up of company files.
KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE & PERSONAL COMPETENCIES
Preferred Professional Qualifications
Qualified Accountant (ACCA, CIMA, CA Zambia or equivalent).
Must be a registered member of ZICA.
Knowledge / Experience
Minimum of 5 years’ experience.
