Job description:

Purpose

Facilitate and conduct training programs for students specializing in communication skills at the craft level.
Provide comprehensive instruction on the principles, strategies, and techniques of effective communication, including verbal, non-verbal, and written communication.
Create a supportive and engaging learning environment that integrates curriculum requirements, real-world scenarios, interactive exercises, and innovative teaching practices to prepare students for professional and personal success.

 

Key Responsibilities

This position will be required to adhere to all relevant requirements, policies, procedures, and legal regulations pertaining to health, safety, environment, and quality, as well as finance, human resources, and any other regulations as required by the company and relevant to the level of the role and responsibilities of the function.

 

Key Responsibilities

Develop and deliver communication skills training programs aligned with the prescribed syllabus, ensuring content meets curriculum objectives and industry standards.
Design and update teaching materials, lesson plans, and practical exercises to enhance student learning outcomes.
Provide constructive feedback to students on their communication styles and guide them in addressing areas for improvement.
Maintain accurate and complete records of student attendance, performance, and assessments, adhering to professional record management standards.
Collaborate with the Superintendent and other relevant training personnel to ensure all training initiatives align with institutional goals.
Perform other duties or tasks as reasonably assigned by the supervisor.

 

Qualifications

Grade 12 Certificate
Degree in English or related qualification
Teaching Methodology Qualification

 

Experience

Minimum of three years’ experience in roles requiring advanced communication skills, such as teaching, training, public relations, or leadership.
Proven record of accomplishment in coaching or mentoring individuals in communication strategies and techniques.
Prior experience as a trainer or instructor in a technical or professional setting, preferably in a TEVET institution.
Demonstrated ability to design and deliver training programs, lesson plans, and assessments
Comprehensive knowledge of communication theories, tools, and techniques, as specified in the relevant curriculum
Proficient in maintaining accurate records of student performance, attendance, and assessments in compliance with record management standards.
Strong ability to foster engagement, motivate students, and address diverse learning needs.
Evidence of ongoing training, certifications, or professional development in communication skills, record management, and teaching methodologies.
