Dairy Herd Team Lead

Furaha Farms, located in Chisamba, is hiring a Dairy Herd Team Leader. If you have a strong track record in herd health, milk production, and parlour operations, and a deep passion for dairy farming-we’d love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the health, nutrition, and productivity of the dairy herd
Manage milking parlour operations
Train and supervise farm workers in dairy best practices
Herd health protocols, breeding and record-keepingEnsure milk quality, hygiene, and compliance

Requirements:

This is an opportunity for someone with a few years of experience who is ready to step up and lead a small team, take initiative, and grow into a bigger role as the farm grows:-

5 years of hands-on relevant experience
Strong knowledge of milking parlour processes and milk handling
Ability to lead and train farm staff effectively
Solid understanding of dairy nutrition, breeding, and disease management
Strong organizational and record-keeping skills
