Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced individuals to fill the position of Principal Human Capital Officer at Kafue Gorge Regional Training Centre – Copperbelt Campus. The position is on permanent and pensionable employment.

ORGANISATIONAL PROFILE

The Kafue Gorge Regional Training Centre (KGRTC) – Copperbelt Campus is situated Ndola City and provides specialized training in Energy Technologies and other skills needs for ZESCO Ltd, the mining and the water industries.

1.0 OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE JOB

Reporting to the Head of Campus, the Principal Human Capital Officer shall be responsible for assisting manage the full cycle of the employee life cycle from recruitment and onboarding to performance management, development and management of employee learning and development programs and providing insights and recommendations on how best to invest in the human capital..

2.0 PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES

Contribute to the development and implementation of programs that attract, develop, motivate and retain a high performing workforce. .
Manage all aspects of Employee Relations including investigation of cases, policy interpretation and resolution of complaints.
In consultation with supervisors, identify learning and development needs and create and deliver programs that meet those needs.
Assist with the implementation of the performance management process, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
Maintain up-to date knowledge of employment laws and regulations and ensure compliance with all applicable legislation.
Serve as a resource to employees on all human capital management related matters.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

The candidate must possess the following;

Full Grade 12 Certificate.
A Degree in Human Resource Management, Public Administration or a related field.
Experience of having worked in Human Capital Management for at least three (3) years.
Strong knowledge of the Zambian Labour Laws.
Must be a paid up member of the ZIHRM
