Maamba Energy Limited (MEL) is jointly owned by Nava Bharat Singapore Pte. Limited and ZCCM-IH Plc.  The Company owns and operates a large-scale coal mine and has also constructed and operates a 300 Mega Watt Coal fired Power Plant to cater for the growing demand for power in Zambia.

Position: Primary School Teacher

The Primary School Teacher will be responsible for delivering high quality education at the Primary school and modelling the teaching, in conformity with the expected standards.  This role requires the teacher to effectively plan, teach, assess and give feedback in accordance with the 2023 Zambian Education Curriculum Framework.

Furthermore, the teacher will contribute to the development of co-curricular activities, fostering a spirit of exploration and innovation among learners.

Through collaboration with colleagues across both primary and secondary levels, the teacher will help maintain curriculum continuity and uphold high standards of teaching and learning throughout the school.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare schemes and lessons
Write records of work.
Facilitate learning activities in school and complete the syllabus in time.
Liaise with the Senior Teacher and fellow teachers on work schedule.
Make review and projection of the term.
Promote Extra Curriculum Activities (ECA) programs in school.

Requirements:

Grade 12 certificate with 5 O’ levels Credit or better.
Diploma in Primary Education from a reputable institution. Degree will be an added advantage.
Solid understanding of classroom activities and teaching methodologies.
Must be familiar with the Competence Based Curriculum
Registered with the Teaching Council of Zambia.
Must be computer literate.
A minimum of 2 years experience as a teacher.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
