Kafue Children’s Christian Academy We are a private Christian school, located in Kafue, implementing a social-emotional philosophy designed to reach vulnerable and orphaned children in the area. Our program, based on Capturing Kids Hearts, includes relationship building with individual children, lunch each day for every child, social welfare involvement, Gospel outreach to our community, and high educational excellence. Introductory trades training is also incorporated each term, utilizing the skills of teachers, board members, caretakers, and community members. Job Title: Child Safeguarding and Sponsorship Officer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Child Safeguarding and Sponsorship Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the well-being of children, managing sponsorship programs, and fostering relationships between sponsored children and their sponsors.

Key Responsibilities:

– Engage families and communities in children’s well-being

– Identify and recruit vulnerable children for sponsorship programs

– Conduct home visits, family counseling, and support

– Manage data and records efficiently

– Collaborate with social welfare on child abuse investigations

– Foster relationships between sponsored children and sponsors

– Attention to detail

– Effective teamwork and independence

– Excellent communication and listening skills

– Adaptability, strategic thinking, and strong management skills

Requirements:

– Full Grade 12 Certificate

– Degree in Social Sciences or related fields

– 2+ years of work experience

– Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills

– Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and other computer skills
