Job description

Role Overview:

Erect and dismantle temporary metal scaffolding on structures and building sites, so that other people can work at height and carry out their jobs safely. Set up scaffolding around a structure, or inside a building undergoing construction, renovation or demolition.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Transport scaffolding materials to the job site
Read blueprints for scaffold projects
Construct and secure scaffolding around construction projects
Inspect work for safety issues
Break down the structure once the project is complete
Skills & Personal Attributes

Good communication skills
Always willing to work on new construction skills
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Basic mathematics skills
Ability to understand technical drawings and plans
Able to read and interpret blueprints
Preferred candidate qualifications & experience

Grade 12 certificate
Certificate in Scaffolder/Building
At least 2 (two) years’ experience as a Scaffolder
Ability to work confidently at heights
Excellent hand-eye coordination
Good level of physical fitness
Valid Silicosis Certificate
