EXCITING CAREER OPPORTUNITY
CHIEF INFORMATION OFFICER

Location: Lusaka
Industry: Banking and Financial Services
Reports to: Managing Director

A leading institution in the banking and financial sector is seeking a highly qualified, experienced, and visionary professional to fill the position of Chief Information Officer. This senior leadership role offers a unique opportunity to play a strategic part in driving digital transformation, ensuring robust cybersecurity, and maximizing the contribution of technology to the organization’s success.

KEY PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

To formulate, direct, and oversee the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) strategy, policies, and operations, driving digital transformation and ensuring robust cybersecurity, efficient processes, and infrastructure reliability to achieve the organization’s strategic objectives and maximize its contribution to organizational success.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop and implement a visionary ICT strategy aligned with organizational goals.
Lead digital transformation initiatives to enhance service delivery and operational efficiency.
Oversee ICT supply chain processes, managing vendor relationships and procurement.
Design and implement standardized ICT processes to enhance efficiency and compliance.
Lead cybersecurity initiatives, developing policies to mitigate risks and ensure systems are secure.
Oversee the design, maintenance, and scalability of ICT infrastructure.
Direct ICT projects, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.
Provide data-driven insights to guide strategic and operational decisions.
Manage and supervise ICT managers and oversee the performance of the entire ICT directorate.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Full Grade 12 School Certificate with 5 ‘O’ Levels.
Bachelor’s degree in ICT or related discipline.
Master’s degree in ICT or MBA in Finance, Banking, Business, Economics, Accountancy, Management will be an added advantage.
10 years post-qualifying relevant experience, five of which should be at Senior Management Level (Chief Information Officer or Head ICT Level).
Proven experience in strategic planning, operational oversight, and technical expertise.
Strong leadership, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
