Job description
M31 Research is seeking a highly skilled mWater Expert to provide technical leadership and capacity building support in the use of the mWater platform for water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience with mWater’s full suite of tools and a strong background in training and mentoring teams on mWater usage.
Type: Short-term Consultancy | Contract-based
Key Responsibilities
Lead the design and configuration of surveys, forms, and dashboards on the mWater platform.
Provide technical support on data collection, management, and real-time monitoring using mWater.
Conduct training sessions and develop user-friendly guides and resources to build capacity among field teams, implementing partners, and stakeholders.
Troubleshoot system issues and offer ongoing support for the effective utilisation of mWater in project delivery.
Advise on data quality assurance and integration of mWater into broader monitoring and evaluation frameworks.
Required Qualifications
Proven expertise in the mWater platform, including survey design, dashboard creation, data mapping, and account administration.
Minimum 5 years of experience in WASH or related sectors, with at least 3 years of applied experience using mWater.
Demonstrated experience building capacity in mWater through formal training, coaching, or technical assistance.
Excellent problem-solving, facilitation, and communication skills.
Master’s degree or higher in Public Health, Environmental Science, Monitoring & Evaluation, Information Systems, or a related field.
Desirable
Familiarity with WASH monitoring indicators and government reporting frameworks.
Experience working in Sub-Saharan Africa, particularly in community-based or rural settings.
