Job description

An ICT related company, requires a suitably qualified and experienced personnel to fill up the position of a LAN and CCTV Technician,

Qualifications

1.    Degree /Diploma in Computer Science or Electronics.

2.    Certified in CompTIA Network+, CCNA, Certified Security Technician (CST) or similar will be an added advantage.

3.    Should have understanding of network infrastructure, cabling (Ethernet & Fibre), switch and router configurations, IP Addressing, sub-netting, VLANS and general troubleshooting of network issues

4.    Should have knowledge of different types of cameras (IP, Analog, PTZ), DVR/NVR systems and video storage.

5.    Should have IT skills in installing software, configuring systems and full appreciation of operating systems.

6.    2 to 3 years’ hands-on experience in LAN/CCTV installations, maintenance and troubleshooting

7.    Experience with technical tools such as network analyzers, cable tracers, etc.

8.    Should have strong problem solving and critical thinking abilities

Responsibilities

1.    Managing all LAN and CCTV installation activities.

2.    Any other duties as may be assigned by the immediate supervisor.
