Accounts Assistant

Mindolo Ecumenical Foundation (MEF), is a faith based, non-denominational and Pan African Centre of Study, Worship and Reflection. It is located in Mindolo, Kitwe District on the Copperbelt Province of Zambia

Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons to fill in the following vacant position at Mindolo Ecumenical Foundation on a contractual basis.

ACCOUNTS ASSISTANT

MEF is looking for an Accounts Assistant in the Accounts Department at Mindolo Ecumenical Foundation Campus in Mindolo Kitwe. S/he will be responsible for the effective running of the Accounts Department:

Reports to: Assistant Accountant

Duties and responsibilities

Ensure that financial transactions are documented and filed
Performing Data entry using pastel and dove systems
Receiving students school fees and ensuring that students accounts are up to date
Receiving rental payments & other business cash and cheque payments to MEF
Responsible for proper maintenance of accounting records/files
Perform /weekly monthly Cash/bank reconciliations
Performing any other duties that may be assigned by the Assistant Accountant

Qualifications and experience

Grade 12 School certificate with 5 ‘O’ Levels including English and mathematics
At least ZICA CA Knowledge Level 2 or any relevant qualification

Desirable skills, abilities and experience

High level of accuracy and analytical skills
Computer literate and skilled in the use of Microsoft office
Possess excellent written and verbal skills
Have a strong sense of personal and work accountability
Excellent inter-personal and communication skills with good listening skills
High level of confidentiality

AGE:  25 years and above

Commencement of duty: 22st April 2025

Background: Strong Christian background and able to work in an Ecumenical Environment.
