Job Description

As an Accounts and Inventory Clerk, you will be responsible for managing the company’s accounts and maintaining accurate inventory records. You will work closely with Finance, Stores and Operations teams to ensure the smooth operation of both accounting and inventory processes.

Key Responsibilities

Process and reconcile daily financial transactions, including invoices, payment requisitions, and receipts.
Perform bank reconciliations, for all bank accounts.
Ensure all statutory deductions (ZRA/NAPSA/Personal levy and workman’s compensation) are timely remitted to respective agencies.
Ensure all cash receipts are receipted and promptly banked.
Responsible for book keeping and bank payments to ensure effective operations.
Ensure bank transactions and records are correct.
Recording and filling of documents.
Preparation of monthly Cashbook reports.
Recording and updating Asset Register.
Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports and inventory audits.
Ensure timely and accurate processing of purchase orders, goods receipts, and stock discrepancies.
Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and yearly budgets and forecasts.
Track inventory turnover per branch and assist in reordering stock to prevent shortages and overstocking.
Able to work with minimum supervision.
Any other duties that may be reasonably assigned by line operations manager.

Requirements

Degree/ Diploma in Accounting
Professional Accounting Qualification like ACCA, CIMA, ZICA or better.
Must possess a Grade Twelve Certificate with good grades in English and Mathematics.
Age 24 to 29 years.
Proven accounting experience , preferably as an Accounts Clerk for at least 2 years.
Familiarity with bookkeeping and basic accounting procedures.
 Competency in MS Office, excel, and accounting software.
Accuracy and attention to detail.
Excellent organizational skill and an aptitude for numbers.
Experience in Stores Management will be an added advantage.
