PRIMARY TEACHERS (IN-HOME PRIVATE TUITIONS)

We are looking for primary school teachers to work as part-time private tutors in the student’s home settings. A key focus of the job is to enable pupils to develop their cognitive, verbal and numerical skills through creative teaching strategies.

Duties and Responsibilities

-Planning appropriate lessons to meet learning requirements, keeping up to date with the qualification framework.

-Creating engaging lessons to involve the learning child, coordinating with parent where needed.

-Using a mix of resources to enhance pupil’s exploration of the topic(s).

-Using different teaching methods, including demonstrations, visuals and illustrations and play, to motivate and encourage interaction in the class.

-Encouraging student to work creatively to achieve set goals.

-Providing help and support to individual pupil or child learner as required, taking responsibility for their academic progress.

-Carrying out assessments and setting homework.

-Completing administrative work. e.g., taking registers, updating records, marking work and writing reports.

-Creating a learning environment that the pupil or child earner respects.

-Setting expectations for student good behaviour including doing homework on time and accurately.

-Liaising with supervisors and parents in relation to progress and academic behavior of the child.

Qualifications

The essential qualifications required include:

-Grade 12 or equivalent, including English, Maths and Science.

-Undergraduate education degree or diploma in primary education

-Teaching License

-Teaching experience, gained from your placement and/or previous teaching jobs.

-Fluent level of English, spoken and written.
