Job Description

Lumwana Mining Company is seeking to recruit a highly committed employee for the position of Supervisor – Crushers Maintenance to join the versatile Process – Maintenance team. We are in search of an individual who can champion Barrick’s DNA by:

Reporting to the Maintenance Coordinator- Crushers and Conveying, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe efficient maintenance of Crushers through the effective utilization of all resources provided.

Duties and responsibility for this position will include but not limited to the following.

 

Supervise Boiler Makers, Fitters, Lubricators, Contractors and equipment in accordance with plant policies and procedures daily.
Manage shift roster, annual leave and sick leave etc. for the subordinates and ensure shift coverage.
Conduct daily safety meetings for the crews
Review and execute weekly maintenance schedules and ensure maintenance activities are prioritized and managed effectively
Ensure the development and maintenance of up-to-date procedures for all tasks performed within the function
Operate within the standard operating procedures (SOP) as directed by the maintenance coordinator
Review maintenance tasks and opportunities for continuous improvement.

To be considered for the position, one must meet the following requirements:

 

Full Grade 12 Certificate
Minimum of an Advanced Certificate in Mechanical or in Metal Fabrication.
Minimum 3 years’ experience in Crushers and Conveyor Structures maintenance.
Must be computer literate with competence in MS excel with exposure to SAP or equivalent
Proven ability to show initiative and deliver results and act as a change agent
Demonstrate ability to deliver results and act as a change agent.
Have a valid unendorsed Zambian drivers’ license
Member of Engineering Institution of Zambia
