Job description
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Financial Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting expertise, hands-on experience with ERP systems such as SAGE or SAP, and a solid background in financial reconciliations, asset management and payments processing.
Key Responsibilities
Perform bank and supplier reconciliations to ensure accuracy and timely resolution of discrepancies.
Maintain the asset register, ensuring proper accounting and periodic verification of assets.
Manage petty cash transactions, ensuring proper documentation and accountability.
Prepare payment schedules and process online bank postings in line with company policies.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including auditors, regulatory bodies, and suppliers.
Ensure compliance with IFRS standards, financial regulations, and internal controls.
Support the preparation of monthly financial reports and assist in budgeting and forecasting.
Provide input into process improvements and financial system enhancements.
Qualifications & Experience
Full professional qualification in CIMA, ACCA, or CA Zambia (ZICA membership is mandatory).
3-5 years of work experience, preferably in a service industry.
Proficiency in ERP systems such as SAGE, SAP, or equivalent.
Strong knowledge and experience in financial operations, including reconciliations, payments, and financial reporting.
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with both internal and external stakeholders.
