Job description
Job Summary: The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with safety regulations, conducting risk assessments, and fostering a culture of safety within our mining operations.
Key Responsibilities:
-Develop, implement, and monitor safety policies and procedures in compliance with legal requirements.
-Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments.
-Investigate incidents and accidents, and recommend corrective actions.
-Provide safety training and awareness programs for employees.
-Maintain records of safety-related activities and prepare reports for management.
-Collaborate with management to promote a safe working environment.
Qualifications and Skills:
-Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field.
-Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in a similar role within the mining industry.
-Strong knowledge of the Mine Health and Safety Act and related regulations.
-Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
-In possession of a BL and first Aid certificate.
