Job description

The Higher Education Authority (HEA) is a statutory body established by the Higher Education Act No. 4 of 2013.

The mandate of the Authority is to regulate and monitor standards in Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in order to ensure quality services and contribute to the enhancement of human capital and accelerated national development.

Subject to Section 94. (1) of the Zambia Public Procurement Act number 8 of 2020, the Zambia Public Procurement Authority shall maintain a system, in the form of a database or list, to provide centralised information on potential suppliers of goods, works and services.

Therefore, the Higher Education Authority intends to register and create a sub database of Citizen Suppliers who are already registered on the electronic government procurement system for streamlined engagements in various categories for the year 2025 to 2027, to submit their applications.

The closing date for receipt of applications is Tuesday 14th March, 2025 at 14:00hrs.

Prospective vendors should be able to supply the goods and services on a 30-day credit period.

All service providers and suppliers who are currently providing goods and services to the Authority must also re-apply as they will not be automatically included in the supplier’s database.

Interested companies must clearly state their categories of specialization and must also note that applications are restricted to a maximum of 3 categories per applicant. The Authority shall conduct an evaluation of the submissions and only successful firms will be notified
