Sales Assistant

Job description

Autoworld has 13 branches in Zambia, since it started in 1992. It caters to the needs of any vehicle or boat and has an extensive range of quality guaranteed products and services. We are looking for a dynamic and aspirational candidate to fill the position of Sales Assistant with skilled ability to deliver on the below functions:

Customer Service

Greet customers warmly and professionally both walking in and those that reach out on phone.
Efficiently address customer queries regarding product details, availability, size, location, and prices for both walking in and those that reach out on phone.

Product Knowledge

Stay informed about the placement of products according to bin locations to assist in locating items easily.
Keep up-to-date new products to inform customers, ultimately increasing sales.

Inventory Management

Participate in stock-take at all times as assigned.
Carry out spot checks, ensure sufficient inventory supply of stock on the specified bin locations and report low or zero stock.
Contribute to the cleanliness and attractiveness of product displays through routine visual merchandising tasks and cleaning of specified bin locations.
Ensure that all lost sales are captured.

Sales and Up-selling

Use consultative sales techniques to upsell additional products based on customer needs.
Provide information on product benefits to encourage customer engagement to drive sales.
Issue Correct Quotations and Invoices to avoid wrong supply and  reduce on spare part returns.

Attendance

Adhere to designated schedules for reporting and knocking off.

Cleaning Duties

Perform any other duties assigned by immediate Supervisor, including daily routine cleaning  of the shop.
Ensure personal hygiene, cleanliness, wearing a neat uniform consistently and always be equipped with complete personal protective equipment (PPE) during work hours.

Requirements

Full grade 12 certificate with credits or better
2 years work experience
Certificate or Diploma in Business, Marketing or any related field
