Unicaf University in Zambia is growing and looking for applications from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Programme Coordinator – Doctoral Programmes in Education.
Key Responsibilities
Participate in and/or chair progression boards and student evaluations of doctoral students
Provide support in the quality enhancement of all doctoral modules’ content of the Education pathways
Ensure Quality Assurance standards are kept within the Department
Become a permanent member of the Research Degree Committee
Report to the Dean of the School of Education, Humanities and Social Sciences (UUZ) / the Dean of the Doctoral Studies (UUFederal)
Supervise doctoral students and act as Internal Examiner for doctoral students that may fall under their area of expertise
Requirements
A doctoral degree in a relevant field is mandatory
Proficient knowledge of English
Knowledge of research methods and research ethics
Prior teaching and doctoral supervising experience in higher education.
Administrative experience within an educational institution. Experience within higher education will be considered an advantage
Target oriented with good time-management skills and attention to detail
Confident, team-worker
Excellent planning and organisational skills, including the ability to manage a range of tasks with conflicting priorities
