SECURITY AND COMPLIANCE TEAM LEAD

JOB OVERVIEW

Yalelo is seeking a Security and Compliance Team Lead. The Security and Compliance Team Lead will ensure the safety of the organization’s assets, personnel, and information. This role involves managing a team of security and compliance auditors, managing security personnel, implementing security strategies, auditing processes and transactions, and ensuring compliance with internal regulations and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Security Planning and Management

Develop and implement comprehensive security plans and policies to protect assets, personnel, and information.
Conduct regular security assessments to identify vulnerabilities and areas for improvement.
Coordinate and maintain emergency response plans, such as evacuations during emergencies.

2. Security Operations Management

Manage and supervise security personnel, including recruiting, training, and ensuring they are equipped with the necessary skills and resources.
Oversee access control for buildings and restricted areas.
Monitor and manage Control Room operations, shift activity, and site stock loss prevention across Distribution Centers, warehouses, and offsite zones

3. Risk Mitigation & Incident Response

Investigate security breaches, determine root causes, and implement measures to prevent recurrence.
Conduct Security Vulnerability Assessments and follow up on mitigation efforts.
Maintain relationships with law enforcement agencies and external security vendors.

4. Transaction Auditing & Compliance

Audit processes and transactions to ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
Utilize financial software for transaction analysis.
Ensure compliance with all relevant security regulations and standards.

5. Employee Training & Education

Develop and implement training programs to enhance employee security awareness and adherence to policies.
Conduct weekly operational briefings and daily supervision to enforce SOP compliance.

6. Reporting & Documentation

Complete detailed reports on observations, incidents, occurrences, and surveillance activities.
Maintain accurate records of equipment, schedules, and operational data.

REQUIREMENTS

Education:

Full Grade 12 Certificate
A bachelor’s degree in a related field such as Security Management, Criminal Justice, or a similar discipline

Suitably qualified applicants must provide certificates verified by the Zambia Qualifications Authority (ZAQA).

Experience:

Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience preferably in FMCG.
Account experience in audit and compliance is an added advantage.
Must possess a valid driver’s license.
Proven experience of leadership
Ability to demonstrate previous experience in planning, executing, and reporting on audits.
Familiarity with implementing and monitoring control procedures.

Skills:

Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills.
Strong communication in English and report-writing skills.
Proficiency in using audit software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Detail-oriented with a high level of integrity and ethical standards.
