Zambeef Products PLC is the largest integrated cold chain food products and Agribusiness Company in Zambia and one of the largest in the Southern Africa region.  It is involved in the primary production, processing, distribution, and retailing of beef, chicken, pork, eggs, dairy, fish, flour, leather, shoes, stock feed, and day-old chicks throughout Zambia and the surrounding region.

                           IT TEAM LEAD – NOVATEK MPONGWE (x1)

The Required Skills for the role include:

Assessing and maintaining the Novatek network and ensuring it continues to meet demand.
Keeping a log of all technical faults (Ticket system)
Coordinating the needs of in-house IT experts and remote employees.
Protecting the Novatek data from outside infiltration through encryption, secure data storage, and other necessary means.
Assisting with installing new hardware and software and helping train employees on its use.
Setting up and maintaining a database of email accounts and IP addresses.
Server Maintenance, which includes verifying that backups are working, checking disk usage, updating the control panel, and checking the system security.
Annual license checks.
Ensuring that anti-virus software is installed, kept up to date, and working properly on all Novatek network stations where appropriate.
Checking the network backup daily and ensuring users have access.
Monthly health checks on all hardware and software.
Safekeeping of all IT-related product keys, CDs, installation software, and warranties.
Submitting monthly update reports on health checks and logging of all technical faults.

The Required Qualifications are:

Grade 12 Certificate
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems or related field
Minimum 5 years of work experience in the IT field
Skilled in planning, organizing, and IT operations
