Junior Geologist

Job description

Bandar Investment Ltd operates in goldmining, processing, and treatment, with key sites in Mumbwa and Mpika. The core focus is transforming gold and by-products into globally marketable assets.

We seek to employ a Junior Geologist to assist in exploration, mining and development. The incumbent should be comfortable in organizational and project management skills, data and geological modelling as well as technological skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Exploration and grade control
Plan geological projects
Supervise core drilling
Core logging and sampling
Site surveys and creation of maps
Gather and analyse geological data
Write reports
Supervise a small mining and/or exploration team
Ensure HSEQ practices at the workplace

Qualifications:

A degree in Geology or equivalent.
Minimum of 5 years in the minerals industry.
Experience in using mining software like Surpac, Datamine, QGIS,Mapinfo etc
Familiarity with Environmental and Mining regulations
Ability to handle & Analyse data as well as produce 3D models
Analytical mind
Team work and communication skills are mandatory
Attention to detail
