Job description
Job Summary:
The General Assistant (Labour) will support various site operations by performing manual labour tasks as required. This includes assisting in material handling, cleaning and basic site maintenance to ensure smooth and safe operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Manual Labor:
Assist in loading and unloading materials, equipment and tools
Carry out general labour tasks such as digging, lifting and transporting materials on-site.
Cleaning and Maintenance:
Keep work areas clean and organized, including removing waste and debris.
Maintain site hygiene standards, ensuring that work areas are safe and tidy.
Support Operations:
Assist in the setup and breakdown of equipment and workstations.
Follow instructions from supervisors and assist with site tasks as needed.
Safety Compliance:
Follow all safety guidelines and use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
Report any safety hazards or issues to supervisors immediately.
Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor or site manager.
Skills and Qualifications:
Previous experience in a manual labour or general assistant role is beneficial but not required.
Ability to perform physical tasks and lift heavy objects.
Basic understanding of safety protocols in a working environment.
Ability to work well with others and take direction.
