Job Summary:

The Dedicated Local Driver will be responsible for transporting goods, materials, or personnel safely and efficiently between designated locations on a consistent, daily basis. This role ensures that vehicles are properly maintained and safety protocols are followed.

Key Responsibilities:

Transport Duties:

Safely transport materials, equipment and personnel to and from the site or between locations.
Ensure timely deliveries and pick-ups according to the schedule.

Vehicle Maintenance:

Conduct regular vehicle inspections and ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
Report any mechanical issues or required repairs to the supervisor.

Safety Compliance:

Follow all road safety rules and traffic regulations.
Ensure the vehicle is equipped with the necessary safety gear (e.g., first aid kit, fire extinguisher).

Load and Unload:

Assist with loading and unloading materials, ensuring that they are secured properly.
Ensure that goods are transported in compliance with safety guidelines.

Record Keeping:

Maintain accurate logs of travel routes, delivery times, and fuel consumption.
Report on any incidents or accidents immediately.

Skills and Qualifications:

Valid driver’s license (with the appropriate vehicle class for the role).
Previous driving experience, especially in a local or industrial setting, is preferred.
Good knowledge of local routes and traffic regulations.
Ability to handle the physical demands of loading and unloading goods.
Familiarity with safety protocols for vehicle operation and transportation.
