JOB OPPORTUNITY

DISTRIBUTION DRIVER/SALESPERSON

National Breweries Plc is seeking a suitably qualified, self-motivated, and customer-focused individual to fill the position of Distribution Driver/Salesperson. The positions are to be based in Lusaka, Kitwe, and Mpika.

Job Purpose

To ensure efficient product distribution to customers along designated routes, maintain excellent customer service standards, safeguard company assets, and account for all sales and cash collections in accordance with company procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve all customers according to the approved route listing.
  • Ensure proper care and maintenance of the assigned vehicle.
  • Drive safely and ensure zero vehicle misuse and over-speeding incidents.
  • Sell company products and accurately account for all cash proceeds before banking.
  • Manage product returns and balance backs in line with company standards.
  • Gather market intelligence and provide feedback to management.
  • Resolve customer complaints promptly and escalate unresolved issues where necessary.
  • Conduct route debriefs and submit required reports after every trip.
  • Maintain positive relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum of five (5) O-Level credits.
  • Valid and clean Class 2 Driver’s Licence.
  • At least two (2) years of driving experience.
  • Good communication and public relations skills.
  • Basic numerical and cash-handling skills.
  • Ability to work independently and under minimum supervision.

Reporting Relationships

  • Reports directly to the Distribution Controller.
  • Maintains a dotted-line relationship with Sales and Distribution Clerks and the Freight and Distribution Overseer.
  • Interacts regularly with customers and all company departments.
