Project Background:

JCHX Mining Management Co., Ltd. (JCHX) has been awarded a five-year contract for underground mining services at MMG’s Khoemacau Copper Mine at Toteng, Zone 5, Botswana. JCHX, a global mining contractor with nearly 30 years of experience, will be responsible for the development and operation of the underground mine. The project is seen as a significant step towards MMG’s goal of increasing copper production at Khoemacau.

Applications are invited from suitably experienced and qualified individuals for the position of Paste Fill Trainee Operators (3 Positions) based at Toteng, Zone 5.

Position Summary:

The Paste Fill Trainee Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the Paste Fill Plant in accordance with JCHX procedures, safety standards, and production requirements.

Key Position Responsibilities:

• Operate the Paste Fill Plant in accordance with established safety standards, operating procedures, and production requirements provided by JCHX.
• Monitor plant equipment and paste quality through control systems, instrumentation, and routine inspections to ensure optimal performance and consistency.
• Respond to alarms, faults, and operational deviations, carrying out basic troubleshooting and reporting issues that require further technical intervention.
• Assist with the flushing, cleaning, and dewatering of paste reticulation lines to maintain system integrity, prevent blockages, and support continuous operations.
• Conduct routine operational checks and housekeeping activities to ensure equipment reliability, workplace safety, and compliance with site standards.
• Work closely with operators, maintenance personnel, and supervisors to support safe and efficient paste fill operations.
• Maintain accurate operational records and reports, including production data, equipment status, and any incidents or abnormalities observed during shifts.
• Participate in training and development programs to build competence in paste plant operations, process control, and mining backfill systems.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• BGCSE / Grade 12 School Certificate or equivalent.
• Tertiary education will be an added advantage (Trade B / NCC or Diploma).
• At least two (2) years of working experience on a Process plant System.
• Experience with SCADA systems, PLC/VSD and basic knowledge of instrumentation will be an added advantage.
• Valid Class B Driver’s License.
• Effective communication, analytical, and teamwork skills.
