Job description

REBA Industrial Corporation Limited, founded by Chinese leading brands in the field of construction and mining Equipment like XCMG, SINOTRUK, HELI, and SHANTUI & WECHAI. REBA is one of the largest, fastest growing engineering machinery and heavy equipment centers in Zambia, providing a comprehensive and life-long service.

We are still hiring for the position of  MECHANIC TECHNICIAN – HEAVY EQUIPMENT & TRUCKS
Join our professional team and use your skills to keep our heavy equipment and trucks running safely, efficiently and reliably.
LOCATION: Copperbelt Province, Chambishi

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Grade 12 Certificate (minimum requirement).
  • Trade Test / Craft Certificate in Heavy Duty Mechanics / Automotive Engineering.
  • Additional training in diesel engine systems, ideally Cummins engine training, is desirable.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 3 years’ proven experience as a Technician on heavy-duty equipment and trucks.
  • Hands-on experience with Cummins engines.
  • Experience working on XCMG equipment, Sinotruk / Sino truck, and other similar brands is highly desirable.
  • Experience in industrial, construction, mining or logistics fleet maintenance.

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

  • Strong diagnostic, fault-finding and repair skills for diesel engines and heavy-duty systems.
  • Knowledge of hydraulic, electrical and pneumatic systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and wiring diagrams.
  • Good problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Good time-management and organizational skills.
  • Understanding of safety standards and PPE use.

  • Physically fit to handle the demands of the role.
