Job description

Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced, results-driven Business Development Manager (Mining & Energy) to lead our commercial growth and strategic expansion. In this role, you will identify new market opportunities, build strategic partnerships, negotiate high-value contracts, and drive revenue growth across the mining, renewable energy, and power sectors.

Key Responsibilities
Market Expansion & Strategy: Identify, evaluate, and pursue new business opportunities, strategic joint ventures, and commercial projects across mining, renewable energy, and industrial power sectors.

Key Account & Relationship Management: Build and maintain C-level relationships with mining companies, energy producers, government authorities, EPC contractors, and key industry stakeholders.

Deal Structuring & Negotiation: Lead the end-to-end sales cycle, from lead generation and RFP/tender submissions to commercial negotiations and contract closure.

Financial & Feasibility Analysis: Collaborate with technical and financial teams to perform market analysis, financial modeling, and risk assessments for proposed ventures.

Cross-Functional Leadership: Work closely with engineering, legal, environmental compliance, and operations teams to align commercial offerings with technical feasibility.

Qualifications & Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Geology, Finance, or a related field; an MBA is preferred.

Experience: 5+ years of proven business development or commercial experience in the mining, oil & gas, renewable energy, or heavy industrial infrastructure sectors.

Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of mining operations, energy transition trends (solar, wind, power purchase agreements), and regional regulatory frameworks.

Skills: Excellent negotiation, presentation, and strategic networking capabilities with a track record of closing multi-million dollar deals.

Travel: Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally to client sites and industry events as needed.
