ZAMBIA MEDICINES AND MEDICAL SUPPLIES AGENCY (ZAMMSA) — EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES 💰📊
Grade: ZMS 02 | Position: Director – Finance and Commercial Services (x01)

The Zambia Medicines and Medical Supplies Agency (ZAMMSA) seeks applications from suitably qualified and experienced Zambian Nationals to fill the position of Director – Finance and Commercial Services (x01).

Reports to: Director General

Main Job Purpose:

To coordinate the management of financial resources in order to ensure the financial stability, growth and compliance of the Agency by providing accurate financial insights, managing resources efficiently and driving commercial initiatives that align with the Agency’s strategic objectives.

Main Responsibilities:

Financial Policies & Strategy: Formulate and review financial management policies and regulations for prudent management of public resources.
Management Accounting & Reporting: Coordinate budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, statutory accounting, and timely financial statements.
Investments & Fund Management: Coordinate investment portfolio optimization, manage liquidity, and oversee medicine funds and working capital.
Commercial Initiatives & Stakeholder Relations: Identify and pursue new commercial opportunities; manage relationships with banks, regulators, and development partners.
Risk Management & Internal Controls: Identify and mitigate financial, credit, and operational risks; ensure compliance with financial regulations.
Financial Technology & Leadership: Coordinate implementation of financial ERP systems; lead, train, and develop finance teams.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

Full Grade 12 School Certificate.
Degree in Accountancy, Full ACCA, CIMA, CA Zambia, or equivalent.
Full Member of the Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants (ZICA).
A Master’s Degree in a relevant field will be an added advantage.
Minimum of 8 years’ work experience, 6 of which must be at senior management level.
