As we continue to strengthen our Product & Solutions Management function, we are looking for an experienced and highly capable Product Specialist – Hikvision to join our team.

This is a technical, customer-facing and solution-oriented position for a professional with strong knowledge of Hikvision products and solutions who can confidently engage customers, conduct technical presentations and demonstrations, support solution design and enable our commercial and technical teams.

THE ROLE

The Product Specialist – Hikvision will serve as Angel Oak Technologies’ Hikvision product and solution expert , supporting the business from product knowledge and solution design through to customer demonstrations, technical presentations, training and technical support.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Products Manager, Account Managers, Project Managers and Technical Teams to ensure that Hikvision solutions are correctly positioned, technically sound and effectively presented to customers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. PRODUCT KNOWLEDGE & EXPERTISE

• Maintain a high level of knowledge of the Hikvision product portfolio and solutions .
• Understand product specifications, features, applications, capabilities and limitations.
• Keep up to date with new Hikvision products, technologies and solution developments.
• Provide accurate product and technical information to customers and internal teams.
• Recommend appropriate Hikvision products based on customer requirements.
• Develop and maintain strong technical credibility as the company’s Hikvision product specialist.

2. Solution Design Support

• Work with Account Managers to understand customer requirements.
• Translate customer requirements into appropriate Hikvision solutions.
• Provide technical support for solution design and architecture.
• Support preparation of BOQs, quotations, technical proposals and tenders .
• Assist with product selection, compatibility and system requirements.
• Support site surveys and technical assessments where required.
• Provide technical input during the transition from sales to project implementation.

3. PRODUCT DEMONSTRATIONS

• Conduct professional Hikvision product demonstrations for customers.
• Prepare demonstration equipment, systems and presentation environments.
• Demonstrate product functionality, features and practical applications.
• Connect product capabilities to actual customer requirements.
• Support customer workshops, exhibitions, roadshows and technology events.

4. Technical Presentations

• Prepare and deliver professional technical presentations.
• Present Hikvision solutions to technical teams, management and decision-makers.
• Explain complex technology in a clear and understandable manner.
• Respond confidently to technical questions.
• Support Account Managers during customer presentations and solution discussions.

5. CUSTOMER TRAINING & TECHNICAL SUPPORT

• Conduct product and solution training for customers.
• Provide technical guidance on Hikvision products and solutions.
• Respond to product-related technical enquiries.
• Support customers during solution adoption.
• Assist with troubleshooting and escalate complex technical issues appropriately.
• Follow up on technical customer requirements.

6. Product & Team Enablement

Working under the Products Manager, the Product Specialist will also:

• Support training of Account Managers on Hikvision products.
• Provide product updates to the commercial and technical teams.
• Maintain current product presentations, technical documents and product information.
• Gather customer feedback and market intelligence.
• Identify opportunities for new Hikvision solutions.
• Support product positioning and solution development.
• Assist the wider team in improving Hikvision product knowledge.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Essential

• Minimum 5 years’ relevant professional experience in CCTV, electronic security, surveillance, networking or a related technology field.
• Strong and demonstrable knowledge of Hikvision products and solutions.
• Proven experience conducting technical product presentations and demonstrations .
• Strong understanding of IP CCTV and video surveillance systems.
• Experience in technical pre-sales, solution design or systems integration.
• Experience supporting BOQs, quotations, technical proposals or tenders .
• Excellent presentation and communication skills.
• Strong customer-facing skills.
• Ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
• Ability to work effectively with commercial and technical teams.

Advantageous

• Hikvision certification or recognized Hikvision product training.
• Experience with Hikvision VMS/HikCentral solutions.
• Knowledge of access control, intercom and related security technologies.
• Strong IP networking and PoE knowledge.
• Experience with enterprise, mining, government, corporate or education clients.
• Previous experience with a Hikvision distributor, integrator, reseller or authorized partner.

PRACTICAL TECHNICAL ASSESSMENT

Shortlisted candidates will be required to complete a technical presentation and solution assessment as part of the recruitment process.

Assessment Scenario

You have been asked to present a Hikvision security solution to a large mining client .

The client requires:

• Perimeter surveillance
• Critical-area monitoring
• Intelligent video analytics
• Centralized monitoring
• Integration with the wider security environment
• A solution capable of future expansion

The candidate will be required to prepare and deliver a 20–30 minute presentation demonstrating the proposed Hikvision solution.

The candidate should demonstrate their ability to:
