JOB VACANCY: Customs Clearing and Forwarding Officers

Multiport Logistics Limited | Lusaka |

Multiport Logistics is a leading Zambian logistics and transportation company providing clearing and forwarding services to local and international clients, and transporting imported vehicles, raw materials, agro-equipment, plastic granules and general goods.

The role


Manage customs clearing, coordinate cargo clearance and keep import and export shipments moving efficiently, accurately and in compliance.

Key responsibilities

  • Capture and register declarations on ASYCUDA World (ZRA), matching all details to supporting documents

  • Prepare and process import/export documentation and declarations

  • Classify goods under correct HS codes and keep classification records

  • Calculate and verify customs taxes and fees

  • Liaise with ZRA, ports, shipping lines, transporters, warehouses and clients

  • Track shipments and give timely status updates

  • Resolve clearance delays, discrepancies and exceptions

  • Follow customs, trade and company procedures; keep accurate records

  • Respond to client enquiries professionally

Requirements

  • Diploma or Advanced Certificate in customs clearing and forwarding, logistics, supply chain, international trade or a related field

  • At least 3 years’ experience in customs clearing, freight forwarding or logistics

  • Experience with customs documentation, declarations, tariff classification and tax calculations

  • Skilled in ASYCUDA World, Excel, Word, Outlook and shipment tracking tools

  • Accurate, organised, dependable and calm under pressure; strong communicator and team player
