Job description

Position: Bike Rider
Department: Operations
Reports to: Operations Supervisor / Control Room Manager

Job Purpose
To provide fast, reliable mobile support to Hemsika Security’s operations by transporting documents, equipment, and personnel messages between the head office, client sites, and guard posts. The rider may also respond to site alerts and incidents when needed.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver and collect documents, reports, guard rosters, uniforms, and equipment to and from client sites on time.
Support the control room by quickly reaching sites during alarms or incidents, and give accurate status updates.
Carry out routine check visits to guard posts as assigned, and report any irregularities.
Keep a daily log of trips, deliveries, mileage, and incidents.
Do daily checks on the motorbike (tyres, brakes, lights, fuel, oil) and report faults promptly.
Obey all traffic laws and company safety rules at all times.
Handle company and client property and information with confidentiality and care.
Minimum Requirements

Grade 12 certificate.
Valid motorcycle driving licence (Class A) with a clean riding record.
Good knowledge of Lusaka and surrounding areas, including client sites and main routes.
At least one year of experience as a rider, courier, or dispatch rider (security industry experience is an added advantage).
Honest, punctual, disciplined, and able to work under pressure.
Basic reading, writing, and communication skills, with the ability to use a smartphone for calls and reports.
Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays when required.
