Job description
Trade Zone Limited is currently looking to hire an experienced Furnace Operator to be based in Lusaka.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Prepare equipment and ensure production settings are accurate.
- Monitor daily operation of machinery, adjusting settings as necessary.
- Load and unload furnace.
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment.
- Record gauge readings, test results, and shift production in log books.
- Read work orders to determine work assignments.
- Load molds into the pre-heat ovens for cast.
- Prepare furnaces for casting.
- Load metal and flux into furnaces or clay crucibles.
Requirements and skills
- Grade 12 Certificate
- Degree/Diploma/Certificate or any related field in Furnace operations.
- 2 years and Above work experience, working in a gypsum plant or other industrial setting
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and drawings
- Proficiency with computers and software programs used for monitoring and controlling the plant furnace.
