Job description:
Overall Job Purpose
- Collaborate with business and IT teams to scope projects and define detailed architectural requirements aligned to region and group standards.
- Assess and analyse business requirements, current state environment and technology choices, to evaluate solution alternatives that meet sponsor needs.
- Participate in the development, maintenance and governance of IT solutions across site, ensuring they meet the current and emerging strategic needs of the business.
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Define, develop, and confirm business requirements and solution designs for stakeholders consistent with the business vision, priority and strategy.
- Convert business requirements into solution designs, including systems integration, service-based architecture, and enterprise application architecture.
- Identity architectural risks or non-conformance issues and escalate to resolve them in line with governance procedures.
- Deliver solution design and implementation estimates and lead software product selection, leveraging knowledge from other SME practitioners.
- Perform and supervise solution/tool selection, functional and non-functional requirement gathering, solution design, application configuration, and testing.
- Assess design, applications, and systems alternatives, and provide recommendations to business and IT stakeholders.
- Develop and complete solution design documentation, technical proposals, descriptions, and content to describe system capabilities.
- Create documentation and visual representation of the end-to-end solution architecture for any new IT implementations across site.
- Provide expert guidance on IT solutions and suppliers that meet the business need.
- Manage the relationship with all stakeholders to ensure that the solution is in line with business requirements.
- Identify change requirements and the components involved: hardware, software, applications, processes, and people.
- Supports solution installation, configuration, customization, testing, and deployment, including preparation of test scenarios.
- Participate in and support any procurement-related activities on system implementation, vendor selection and software product selection.
- Ensure adherence to established regional and group strategies, standards, and policies and suggest changes where appropriate.

Experience & Qualifications:
- Minimum 7 years hands-on experience in systems/solution design and implementation across various platforms, with a strong ability to work with different technologies and propose solutions.
- Background as a Business Analyst / Systems Analyst / Solutions Architect.
- Good understanding of network, data centre and cloud architectures in an IT/OT environment.
- Extensive experience working with the Microsoft Power Platform including; SharePoint, Power Apps, and Power Automate, including application development and support methodologies.
- Working knowledge of the MS development ecosystem including; .NET Frameworks, MS SQL Server.
- Experience working with MS cloud services and data integration patterns.
- Familiar with the principles of databases, operating systems, networking, and software engineering.
- Demonstrated ability to design and deliver high-quality, scalable, and secure systems that meet the requirements and expectations of the stakeholders.
- Mining industry experience will be advantageous
- Membership of ICTAZ.
- Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field
