Job description
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Hydropower Engineer to join our multidisciplinary team. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional who is passionate about renewable energy and has a strong background in hydropower project development, engineering, and advisory services.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and contribute to the development and delivery of hydropower projects.
- Provide technical expertise on the design, refurbishment, and development of hydroelectric power plants.
- Manage projects throughout the project lifecycle, from feasibility through to implementation and operation.
- Deliver technical due diligence for owners, lenders, and investors.
- Act as Owner’s Engineer and Lender’s Technical Advisor on hydropower projects.
- Monitor construction activities and operational performance to ensure quality, compliance, and project success.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams and maintain strong client relationships.
- Prepare and review technical reports, proposals, and project documentation.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related Engineering discipline.
- Proven experience within the power generation sector, with a strong focus on hydropower.
- Demonstrated experience in both new-build and refurbishment projects for hydroelectric power plants.
- Sound knowledge of project development, project management, technical due diligence, and construction monitoring.
- Experience acting as an Owner’s Engineer and/or Lender’s Technical Advisor will be highly advantageous.
