Role Overview

We are looking for a highly motivated, creative, and results-driven Sales & Marketing Intern to join our growing team in the construction and building materials sector.

This is not a traditional entry-level internship. It is designed for candidates who already possess real-world, hands-on experience in sales, marketing, and business development and are looking for an opportunity to prove themselves in a professional environment.

The internship serves as a performance assessment period, during which the successful candidate will take on meaningful responsibilities and contribute directly to business growth. Candidates who demonstrate exceptional performance, professionalism, initiative, and the ability to deliver results may be considered for full-time employment at the end of the internship, subject to organizational needs.

If you have little or no practical experience in sales and marketing, this position is not suitable for you.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute marketing campaigns to promote our construction services, building materials, and finishing solutions.
• Identify prospective clients, including contractors, property developers, homeowners, NGOs, corporate clients, and other potential customers.
• Build and manage a strong sales pipeline through lead generation, networking, and follow-ups.
• Promote completed projects through high-quality visual content, photography, videos, and digital marketing campaigns.
• Manage and grow the company’s social media presence and assist in maintaining website and promotional content.
• Conduct market research to monitor industry trends, competitor activities, customer preferences, and pricing strategies.
• Prepare marketing presentations, proposals, quotations, and sales pitches.
• Build and maintain professional relationships with clients, suppliers, and strategic partners.
• Maintain accurate records of sales activities, leads, and customer interactions using appropriate tracking tools.
• Meet agreed sales and marketing targets and prepare regular performance reports.
• Perform any other duties assigned by management.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Minimum of one (1) year of demonstrable practical experience in sales, marketing, and/or business development.
• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience using social media platforms for business marketing.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.

Preferred Skills & Attributes

• Knowledge of or a strong interest in the construction, building materials, or property development industry.
• Strong understanding of digital marketing principles and social media management.
• Experience using graphic design tools such as Canva, Adobe Express, or similar applications.
• Creative eye for showcasing construction projects, architectural finishes, and completed works.
• Experience with CRM systems or lead-tracking software is an added advantage.
• Highly motivated, target-driven, and able to take initiative.
• Professional, confident, and capable of building lasting client relationships.

Marketing Portfolio Requirement

Applicants must submit a portfolio demonstrating previous sales and marketing work.

Your portfolio should include examples of marketing campaigns or projects you have planned, managed, or contributed to, such as:

• Social media campaigns
• Digital advertisements
• Promotional graphics and brochures
• Photography or videography used for marketing
• Branding projects
• Content creation
• Lead generation campaigns
• Event marketing
• Email marketing campaigns
• Any other relevant promotional work

For each project, briefly indicate:

• Your role in the project.
• The objective of the campaign.
• The strategies used.
• The results achieved (where applicable).

Applications submitted without a marketing portfolio will not be considered.

Internship Terms

• This is four (4) months long.
• The internship is intended to evaluate your technical abilities, creativity, professionalism, and overall suitability for long-term employment.
• High-performing interns may be offered full-time employment upon successful completion of the internship, subject to organizational requirements.
