## **JOB VACANCY: HOSTEL MATRON**
**Dovecot College of Health Sciences** is seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and experienced individual to join our residential community as a **Hostel Matron**.
As a key member of our student support network, you will play a vital role in providing a safe, disciplined, and nurturing home-away-from-home environment for our students.
### **Key Responsibilities:**
* **Student Welfare & Care:** Monitor and support the general health, well-being, and personal development of resident students.
* **Hostel Management & Discipline:** Oversee daily hostel operations, enforce residential rules, and maintain a peaceful, orderly, and conducive living environment.
* **Safety & Security:** Coordinate with security personnel to ensure the safety of students and premises, and manage emergency protocols when necessary.
* **Facility Oversight:** Conduct routine inspections of hostel facilities, report maintenance needs promptly, and maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness.
* **Counseling & Guidance:** Act as a trusted mentor and point of contact for students, offering guidance and conflict-resolution support.
### **Qualifications & Requirements:**
* Proven experience in hostel administration, nursing, social work, counseling, or a related institutional management role.
* Strong leadership skills with a firm yet compassionate approach to student discipline.
* Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
* Ability to handle emergencies calmly and effectively.
* A strong commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive residential culture.
