Job description

ZABS is a statutory body operating under the Standards Act No. 4 of 2017. Under this Act, ZABS is mandated to provide Standardization and Quality Assurance services to industry in order to support production of goods and services of acceptable quality for national, regional and international markets. ZABS also acts as a link between local industry and regional and international standardization and quality assurance (SQA) organizations

Vacancies

The Bureau wishes to invite suitably qualified and experienced candidates to fill the following vacant positions.

Auditor – Food and Beverage (ZABS 5)

To evaluate food and beverage products, facilities, and processes against standards in order to verify compliance with food safety, quality, and labeling standards, ultimately supporting the goal of consumer safety.

Conduct food safety audits and inspections
Review food safety documentation
Identify root causes of non-compliance
Collaborate with public health departments
Prepare detailed audit reports
Applicants must have at least the following

Grade 12 Certificate
Bachelor’s in Food Science/Microbiology
ZAQA-verified qualifications
3+ years food safety experience
HACCP/ISO 22000 knowledge
