Marketing Associate

Ndola

Position Summary

Job Purpose

The Marketing Associate is responsible for supporting the planning, implementation, and evaluation of marketing initiatives that promote the company’s products and services, strengthen brand visibility, generate leads, and contribute to business growth. The role involves market research, digital marketing, content development, customer engagement, event coordination, and administrative support for marketing activities.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Marketing and Brand Promotion

  • Assist in the development and execution of marketing campaigns.

  • Promote the company’s products and services through various marketing channels.

  • Ensure consistent application of the company’s brand guidelines across all marketing materials.

  • Support the preparation of brochures, flyers, presentations, newsletters, and promotional materials.

Market Research

  • Conduct market research to identify customer needs, market trends, and competitor activities.

  • Collect and analyse customer feedback to improve marketing strategies.

  • Prepare market intelligence reports to support management decision-making.

Lead Generation and Customer Engagement

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities.

  • Assist in generating sales leads through networking, digital campaigns, and referrals.

  • Respond to customer inquiries regarding products and services.

  • Maintain positive relationships with existing and prospective clients.

Event Coordination

  • Assist in organizing exhibitions, trade fairs, conferences, workshops, and promotional events.

  • Coordinate logistics for marketing events and product launches.

  • Represent the company at exhibitions and networking events when required.

Marketing Administration

  • Maintain marketing databases and customer relationship records.

  • Prepare marketing reports, campaign performance reports, and monthly activity updates.

  • Assist in monitoring marketing budgets and expenditure.

  • Maintain an inventory of promotional materials.

Sales Support

  • Support the sales team by preparing marketing materials and presentations.

  • Assist in developing proposals, quotations, and client presentations.

  • Follow up on marketing leads and customer inquiries.

Stakeholder Relations

  • Liaise with advertising agencies, media houses, printers, and other service providers.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and business partners.

Compliance

  • Ensure all marketing activities comply with company policies and relevant regulatory requirements.

  • Promote ethical marketing practices and protect the company’s reputation.

Other Responsibilities

  • Perform any other marketing and business development duties assigned by management.

Qualifications and Experience

Education

  • Diploma in Marketing, Business Administration or a related field.

Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant marketing or business development experience.

  • Experience in digital marketing and social media management is an added advantage.
