Job description
The Territory Sales Officer will be responsible for developing and managing sales across:
- Mining sector (primary focus)
- General trade within the same geographic corridor
Key areas include:
- Solwezi
- Chingola
- Northern Copperbelt and surrounding mining zones
Key Responsibilities
Mining Sector Development (Primary Focus)
- Identify and engage:
- Mines
- Contractors
- Catering companies
- Procurement teams
- Develop supply opportunities for:
- Bulk products
- Regular supply contracts
- Build relationships with decision-makers
- Understand procurement processes and requirements
- Follow up and convert leads into active accounts
General Trade Development
- Identify and develop:
- Wholesalers
- Distributors
- Large retailers
- Build a strong customer base along travel routes
- Increase coverage and frequency of orders
- Ensure consistent route planning and execution
Sales & Order Generation
- Generate and secure orders across all customer segments
- Maintain an active and growing sales pipeline
- Achieve agreed monthly sales targets
- Follow through from order placement to delivery completion
Route & Territory Management
- Plan and execute efficient travel routes:
- Ndola → Chingola → Solwezi corridor
- Maximise productivity per trip:
- Combine mining + general trade visits
- Ensure optimal use of company vehicle
Distribution Coordination
- Coordinate all deliveries from Ndola
- Ensure:
- Accurate order placement
- Timely dispatch
- Customer satisfaction
- No independent stockholding permitted outside Ndola
Market Intelligence
- Monitor:
- Competitor pricing
- Product movement
- Market demand
- Provide structured feedback on:
- Opportunities
- Risks
- Customer trends
