Job description

1.      ROLE IDENTIFICATION

Job Title: OPERATIONS MANAGER

Direct Reports:

·        CHIEF OPERATIONS OFFICER

2.      JOB PURPOSE

To oversee and manage all Magnum Security Services security operations, ensuring the effective delivery of security services, client satisfaction, operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and the achievement of the company’s strategic objectives.

3.      KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

· Lead and manage all security operations across company contracts.

· Ensure adequate deployment, supervision, and performance of security guards.

· Maintain strong client relationships and ensure compliance with service level agreements.

· Conduct operational inspections, risk assessments, and incident investigations.

· Coordinate emergency responses and oversee Rapid Response and Control Room operations.

· Work closely with Human Resources on recruitment, training, performance management, and disciplinary matters.

· Manage operational resources, including vehicles, equipment, uniforms, and security systems.

· Monitor operational budgets and promote cost-effective service delivery.

· Ensure compliance with company policies, labour laws, health and safety requirements, and client standards.

· Prepare and submit operational reports, including daily, weekly, monthly, and incident reports.

· Support business development through site assessments, contract mobilization, and operational planning.

5. QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum  

·        Grade 12 Certificate with 5 ‘O’ levels with credit or better in Mathematics and English

·        Diploma or bachelor’s degree in security management, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

6.EXPERIENCE:

Minimum of 5–8 years’ experience in the private security industry, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.

· Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple sites

· High level of integrity, professionalism, and discipline

· Computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, reporting systems)

· Valid driver’s license (added advantage)
