Role Overview – Electrician Jobs in Lusaka

The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical systems, including programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and plant machinery. You will perform preventive maintenance on production lines, conveyors, and packaging equipment to ensure smooth operations. A key aspect of this role is to uphold safety standards by strictly following lock-out/tag-out procedures and electrical codes. Prompt response to equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime is essential. Candidates must be capable of working independently while demonstrating a strong commitment to quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems and plant machinery, including PLCs.
• Conduct preventive maintenance on production lines, conveyors, and packaging equipment.
• Ensure compliance with all safety standards, electrical codes, and lock-out/tag-out procedures.
• Respond efficiently to electrical breakdowns to reduce production downtime.
• Work independently and take initiative in maintaining plant electrical systems.

Candidate Requirements

• Diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• ECZ trade license is a distinct advantage.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a manufacturing or FMCG plant environment preferred.
• Strong knowledge of 3-phase electrical systems, motor controls, and basic automation.
