Lolebezi Safari Lodge, a luxury safari destination nestled deep in the heart of the Lower Zambezi National Park, is seeking an experienced and passionate HVAC Technician to join our dynamic team. This is an exceptional opportunity to work in one of Africa’s most pristine and remote wilderness areas, delivering unforgettable experiences to our local international guests.

Position : HVAC Technician

Reports to: Head of Maintenance

Key Responsibilities:

• Installing, maintaining and repairing ventilation and air conditioning systems and equipment.
• Identifying maintenance risks on equipment.
• Diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults for HVAC systems.
• Cleaning, adjusting and repairing systems, and performing warranty services.
• Performing routine maintenance
• Performing emergency repairs promptly and efficiently.
• Keeping daily logs and records of all maintenance functions.
• Ensuring compliance with appliance standards and with the Occupational Health and Safety Act.

Requirements:

• Full Grade 12 certificate
• Diploma in refrigeration and air-conditioning, electrical engineering or the equivalent; a higher qualification will be an added advantage.
• Minimum of 3 years’ working experience as an electrician and refrigeration technician.
• Must be computer literate.
• Must be a member of the Engineering Institution of Zambia.

Required attributes

• Good knowledge of HVAC systems
• Ability to thrive in a remote location with limited access to urban amenities.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills and a team player.

Please Note: This role is based in a remote safari location with limited connectivity and access to urban conveniences. Candidates must be comfortable with living and working in such conditions for extended periods.
