Key Responsibilities for Nanny Maid Jobs in Lusaka

• Childcare & Supervision: Maintain constant vigilance to ensure the safety of children at home, playgrounds, and during outings.
• Engagement & Development: Organize and lead age-appropriate educational activities including playtime, reading, crafts, and outings that support children’s developmental milestones.
• Transportation: Safely transport children to and from school, appointments, activities, and playdates when required. A valid driver’s license is an advantage.
• Health Monitoring: Observe children’s health, administer medication as directed, and promptly communicate any concerns to parents.
• Housekeeping Duties: Manage child-related cleaning such as laundering and organizing children’s clothes and toys, as well as cleaning up after meals and activities.
• General Household Maintenance: Perform routine cleaning tasks including vacuuming, mopping, dusting, kitchen and bathroom cleaning, changing bed linens, and tidying common areas.
• Meal Preparation: Prepare nutritious meals and snacks for the family.
• Errands: Handle household errands such as grocery shopping and picking up dry cleaning.

Qualifications and Skills Required

• Proven experience working with children in a private household setting; references are essential.
• Previous housekeeping experience is highly valued but not mandatory.
• Strong childcare skills with knowledge of child development stages.
• Cooking ability and proficiency in housekeeping tasks.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Personal attributes: trustworthy, reliable, patient, nurturing, energetic, proactive, discreet, and adaptable.
• Must genuinely enjoy working with children.
• Clean criminal background check is required.
• A valid driver’s license is an advantage.
