The Stores Officer will play a vital role in managing stock levels, processing orders, and ensuring that storage areas are well maintained and compliant with hygiene standards. This position requires a proactive individual who can maintain accurate records, coordinate with suppliers, and support the purchasing department through regular audits and inventory tracking.

Key Responsibilities for Stores Officer Jobs in Ndola

  • Adhere to established procedures for issuing and receiving stock items.
  • Monitor inventory levels and prepare purchase orders based on par stock requirements.
  • Maintain organized records, including filing reports and invoices accurately.
  • Verify that goods received correspond with purchase orders and resolve discrepancies.
  • Ensure storage areas remain clean, organized, and compliant with hygiene regulations.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits and collaborate closely with the Purchasing department.
  • Troubleshoot vendor delivery issues and maintain effective communication with suppliers.

  • Safeguard materials to maintain their quality and quantity.
  • Submit monthly inventory reports by the 5th of each month.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Full Grade 12 certificate is mandatory.
  • Tertiary qualification in Procurement, Store Management, Business Administration, or related fields preferred.
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in computer applications relevant to inventory management.
  • Preference will be given to candidates residing in Ndola.
