Key Responsibilities for Motor Assessor Jobs in Lusaka
- Conduct thorough inspections of damaged motor vehicles to accurately assess the extent of loss.
- Evaluate repair quotations and establish fair and reasonable settlement values in line with company policies.
- Prepare detailed and precise assessment reports to support timely claims processing.
- Liaise effectively with clients, brokers, garages, and internal teams to facilitate smooth claims handling.
- Monitor vehicle repairs to ensure quality workmanship and adherence to approved costs.
- Identify and escalate suspicious or potentially fraudulent claims promptly.
- Provide expert technical advice regarding vehicle repairs, parts, and valuations.
- Complete assessments within agreed turnaround times, maintaining high service standards.
- Maintain accurate documentation and records of all assessments performed.
Qualifications and Experience Required
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of three years’ experience in motor assessment or a similar role, preferably within the insurance industry.
- Comprehensive knowledge of motor vehicle systems, repair methodologies, and cost estimation.
- Experience collaborating with motor garages and service providers.
