Position Overview: Articulated Truck (ADT) Driver

As an Articulated Truck operator, you will play a key role in supporting open pit mining and workshop activities by safely loading, assembling, and transporting materials using mobile equipment such as service trucks. You will work closely with the service team, assisting in maintenance and repair tasks while ensuring all equipment is properly serviced and faults reported promptly.

Key Responsibilities for ADT Driver Jobs in Kitwe

• Operate articulated trucks according to verbal and written instructions for routine open pit and workshop operations.
• Load, assemble, and transport materials using articulated service trucks efficiently and safely.
• Ensure all equipment used is regularly serviced; report faults and coordinate necessary repairs.
• Assist with mechanical maintenance and repair tasks as part of the service team.
• Perform routine trade activities within a specific area such as mechanical services, applying basic technical knowledge.
• Complete required reports and documentation related to work performed.
• Communicate effectively with customers when applicable.

Candidate Requirements

• Possess a valid certificate of competence or equivalent qualification to operate articulated trucks/ADTs.
• Hold a craft certificate in mechanical or an equivalent qualification as a qualified craftsman.
• Have a minimum of three years’ experience operating articulated trucks in an open pit mining environment.
• Demonstrate basic knowledge of mining operations and equipment applications.
• Experience as a service technician or service man is considered an advantage.
