About the Barista Role – Barista Jobs in Zambia

As a Barista at Zimworx, you will play a key role in welcoming customers warmly and providing a professional, friendly experience. You will accurately take orders, offer informed product recommendations, and address customer inquiries and feedback with professionalism. Building positive customer relationships and fostering a welcoming atmosphere are essential to this position.

Your core responsibilities will include preparing and serving coffee, tea, specialty beverages, and other menu items following established recipes and quality standards. Maintaining consistency and presentation excellence is critical. You will also monitor inventory levels of coffee beans, milk, syrups, and other supplies to ensure uninterrupted service.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet and engage customers with warmth and professionalism.
• Take and process customer orders accurately and efficiently.
• Provide knowledgeable product recommendations and answer menu-related questions.
• Handle customer requests, concerns, and feedback courteously.
• Prepare and serve beverages and light food items according to standards.
• Maintain food safety and hygiene during all preparation activities.
• Keep workstations, equipment, dining areas, and service counters clean and organized.
• Restock supplies and ensure attractive product displays.
• Assist with opening and closing procedures of the café.
• Monitor equipment functionality and report maintenance needs promptly.
• Support inventory management and stock-taking activities.

Candidate Requirements for Barista Jobs in Zambia

Ideal candidates will have relevant training or certification in Hospitality, Food & Beverage Services, Catering, Tourism, or related fields, which is advantageous but not mandatory. Previous experience as a Barista, Cashier, Waiter/Waitress, or in customer service roles within a café, restaurant, or hospitality environment is preferred.
